We're on to Week 9 in the NFL season, and in the fantasy season. Those mark two different thresholds, really. In the NFL season, this is more-or-less the halfway point (thanks to bye weeks, it isn't exact, but close enough for our purposes). For fantasy, though, with regular seasons that end around Week 13 usually, this is easily the two-thirds mark. In short, Week 9 in fantasy is roughly the same as Week 12 in real football.

Just for clarity's sake, last season at Week 12, 10 of the 12 eventual playoff teams were in place, and an 11th, Pittsburgh, was in a tie. Only Green Bay, at the time 5-6, made an end-of-season run to the playoffs from outside-looking-in at Week 12.

In short, if you aren't in a playoff spot now in your fantasy league, your season isn't over, but … you're running short on time. You need every edge you can get. You need our weekly advice. Keep up with all our fantasy advice for Week 9 here, as things normalize and the cream rises to the top again. This is our weekly cheat sheet.
