As promised earlier this year when we discussed the enhancements you could expect from our Premium Stats section, we’re ready to start rolling out sections of our Signature Stats!
.
As a PFF Premium Subscriber, you'll have access to all of these innovative statistics that are impossible to find elsewhere. Built from the hours of game review that we put in for our analysis process, these Signature Stats offer insight like you've never seen.
.
Updated each week throughout the season, they’re presented to you in the same sortable and easy-to-read PFF tables you already know and love. Already a subscriber? Keep an eye out for them. Not a subscriber? Really? Sign up now!
.
This first release will include numbers for quarterbacks and receivers with other positions soon to follow.
.
For the quarterbacks, you’ll find detailed tables that break down all NFL passers:
.
● Our new PFF Passer Rating – Offering an alternative to the out-dated standard, we take into account dropped passes, throw aways, spikes, and yards in the air and further adjust the old formula so it makes more sense and is a more accurate measure.
● Accuracy Percentage – A better indicator than completion percentage, this statistic eliminates factors that quarterbacks shouldn’t be penalized for.
● Deep Passing – Who gets it done when going deep? These numbers will remove all doubt.
● Passing Under Pressure – Standing tall in the face of an NFL rush is no small feat. Here you’ll see who maintains their cool and who melts when the heat is on.
● Pocket Presence – Can’t get rid of the ball? Feet too heavy to evade the rush? These numbers illustrate the QB’s role in an offense’s ability to limit pressure.
.
And for the receivers?
.
● Drop Rate – One of our most popular stats ever is now in regularly updated table form where you can search out the best and worst hands in the league.
● Deep Threats – Looking for targets, catches, drops, or TD’s on deep balls? There all here and more.
● Yards per Route Run – Our unique player participation data drives this look at receiver production on a per route run basis, giving a better feel for actual work being done than Yards per Reception or Yards per Target.
