In a day filled with offensive fireworks, Sunday night in Atlanta offered a change of pace. The Falcons found the end zone just once but leaned on their defense to stifle the Vikings in a 22-6 win. Minnesota’s offense never got going, as Atlanta controlled the tempo throughout.

Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley each found the end zone on the ground, and rookie safety Andrew Mukuba sealed the win with a crucial fourth-quarter interception of Patrick Mahomes. The Eagles edged the Chiefs 20-17 in a tightly contested Super Bowl rematch. Unlike last year’s blowout, this one went down to the wire.

Josh Sweat’s first-half strip-sack set the tone with a defensive score, and Calais Campbell’s clutch sack in the final seconds helped Arizona fend off a furious Panthers rally for a 27-22 win. Bryce Young threw three touchdown passes in the second half to spark Carolina’s comeback from a 24-point deficit. His final TD — a short toss to Hunter Renfrow — came with under two minutes to play, but Arizona’s defense held firm.

A week after a disastrous showing against the Washington Commanders — one that drew boos, criticism and calls for his benching after just one game in his new uniform — Russell Wilson turned back the clock in a near-upset thriller against the Dallas Cowboys.

In a back-and-forth shootout, the Giants outlasted the Cowboys 40-37 in overtime, capping a game where Dak Prescott and Russell Wilson combined for over 800 passing yards. Wilson’s only mistake came at the worst time — a deep shot picked off in the extra frame, setting up Brandon Aubrey for the game-winning kick.

The San Francisco 49ers were without their starting quarterback and star tight end, yet still managed a 26-21 win over Spencer Rattler and the New Orleans Saints in Week 2.

The Buffalo Bills quieted the New York Jets' offense and leaned on James Cook's legs to move to 2-0.
