- Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas was recently challenged by new head coach Vance Joseph to be “dominant all the time,” according to Broncos beat writer Troy Renck. Thomas has embraced the challenge, saying “It's about time somebody said it.”
- Thomas was drafted by Denver in the first round in 2010 and showed big-time ability right away. In only 101 snaps in route he totaled 2.80 yards per route run his rookie season, second-best among all WR with at least 100 snaps in route.
- In 2014 with Peyton Manning under center, Thomas was dominant. He finished second in yards per route run at 2.78, and posted his career-high overall PFF grade of 87.2, eighth-best among all NFL receivers.
- Thomas saw a dip in production after Manning retired in 2016, finishing 20th in yards per route run at a career-low 1.97. He only had four receptions on deep targets over 20 yards for 152 yards receiving, his lowest totals since his rookie season.
