Green Bay Packers offseason wish list for fantasy

The Green Bay Packers 2017 season was derailed in Week 6 when Aaron Rodgers suffered a broken collarbone that would ultimately cost him nine (and three-quarters) games. Without their leader, Green Bay would finish 7-9 and miss the playoffs for the first time since 2008.

The loss of Rodgers had a major trickle-down effect, as Jordy Nelson posted his lowest receptions total (53) since 2012 when he played just 12 games and his lowest touchdown total since 2010. A closer look shows that, with Rodgers under center, Nelson was targeted 44 times with 23 receptions for 268 yards and six touchdowns. With backup Brett Hundley, he posted just 30 receptions for 214 yards without a score, seeing 44 targets.

The running back position was also hit by injuries but did perform well overall with Jamaal Williams, Aaron Jones, and Ty Montgomery stepping up at different points in the season. The trio would combine to post 1,277 rushing yards and 11 rushing scores along with 457 receiving yards and two more touchdowns. The Packers had the 17th-ranked rushing offense last year and appear set at RB moving forward.

Three additions we want to see for fantasy

Jimmy Graham, TE: The Martellus Bennett experiment last season was a huge bust and Green Bay needs to get Rodgers the best option on the market. The ultimate red-zone threat, Graham teamed up with Rodgers could be an unstoppable combination and fantasy bonanza.

Allen Robinson, WR: The Packers just locked up Davante Adams until 2021, but the futures of Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb are not as clear. Nelson looked to be in decline last season even when Rodgers was playing, and Cobb might need to take a pay cut to remain in Green Bay. Go get Rodgers the top WR option on the market and watch the duo shine together.

Albert Wilson, WR: Wilson is coming off a career-high in receptions and Green Bay needs to reload at the position as Cobb and Nelson are free agents following the 2018 season.
