- The 49ers did not draft an offensive lineman for the first time since 2009, but have added two veteran free agents to the team since the conclusion of the draft. They traded for Jeremy Zuttah from Baltimore in March, and then signed veteran free-agent Tim Barnes.
- Barnes’ overall grade last year was not impressive, ranking 31st overall. This ranked one spot lower than the 49ers’ starting center last year, Daniel Kilgore, who had an overall grade of 72.8. The 49ers also added Zuttah (overall grade of 82.7).
- Barnes was equally unimpressive in run-blocking (61.3 grade, 33rd) as he was in pass-blocking (70.0, 30th).
