It’s Christmas, and for the few of you who are still playing this week, have I got a present for you: the championship week Pick-Six!
Chris Hope: Starting it off is a player who can give owners lots of hope and joy for their championship game, Chris Hope. Hope has a negative 1.9 PFF rating this season, to go along with 74 solo tackles, 86 total tackles, 1 sack, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, and 5 passes defended. Clearly he’s not elite, but Hope has been able to provide consistently strong numbers throughout the year, which should make him a viable play this week.
Atari Bigby: Owners who go with a blast from the past and unwrap Atari this weekend could be lead to fantasy gold. Although Bigby has a negative 0.1 PFF rating while playing 54 snaps over 3 games, he has a favorable matchup this week against the New York Giants.
Champ Bailey: Doesn’t it just make sense to have a guy named Champ on your championship team roster? Champ Bailey has a 18.6 PFF rating, and has only missed 36 snaps on the year. He would clearly be a better play if Andre Johnson suits up, as Houston is willing to attack top CBs. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Bailey has only 41 solo tackles, 45 total tackles, 1 sack, 2 interceptions, and 13 passes defended, as most opposition QBs avoid him.
Kenny Phillips: Kenny Phillips fantasy struggles this year have been pretty well documented. But despite the struggles in the fake game, Phillips has accumulated a 7.6 PFF rating this season, while only missing 2 snaps over the past 6 weeks. Over that span he’s averaged close to 4 solo tackles and 5 total tackles a game. And this week he gets a great matchup against the high-powered Green Bay offense.
Louis Delmas: Louis Delmas is a flier player for the truly desperate. Of course, this is the time of miracles, and Delmas could provide a big game for his owners. On the season, Delmas has a negative 2.4 PFF rating while battling various injuries thoughout the year. Just be sure to check on his status, as he’s doubtful with a concussion.
Brian Dawkins: Making a return this week, Brian Dawkins may be a difference-maker for the final week. Dawkins has a negative 2.4 PFF rating, and has been a liability in coverage but a huge asset to the Bronco’s run defense. It’s unsure if Dawkins will be able to play a full complement of snaps, and he hasn’t been great while playing, so don’t have huge expectations
