New York Giants QB Tyrod Taylor to hit WR Jalin Hyatt deep against a beatable Washington Commanders secondary? The Washington defense has struggled to defend explosive plays this season, as they have allowed the sixth-highest rate of explosive pass attempts and the third-highest explosive drive rate.

Miami Dolphins passing offense to explode, with WR Jaylen Waddle leading the way? Waddle's props are depressed as a result of failing to produce yards this season, but his underlying play and matchup suggest a ceiling game is on its way soon.

Story: New York Giants QB Tyrod Taylor hits WR Jalin Hyatt deep against a beatable Washington Commanders secondary

• The Washington defense has struggled to defend explosive plays this season, as they have allowed the sixth-highest rate of explosive pass attempts and the third-highest explosive drive rate.

• Jalin Hyatt is behind only Tyreek Hill and Justin Jefferson in PFF grade on deep routes.

• Hyatt saw his snap share increase drastically last week, as he played close to 75% of the snaps. So, while his prop factors games in which he was only a part-time player, there is little reason to think he won’t remain on the field and become a focal point of this Giants offense.

• While the Giants' offensive line is beat up and among the worst in the NFL, Tyrod Taylor’s ability to scramble should help to mitigate that weakness. He can create enough time and give himself opportunities to attack Washington deep.

• With the props so low for the Giants' passing attack, not much needs to go right for Hyatt and Taylor to fly over their numbers.

Story: Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen leans on Gabe Davis in the passing game

While New England has faced a gauntlet of WR1s and limited each of them — A.J. Brown (79 yards), Tyreek Hill (40), Garrett Wilson (48), CeeDee Lamb (36), Chris Olave (12), Davante Adams (29) — the rest of the defense has struggled mightily, especially as injuries have piled up. Entering Week 7, the team has no cornerbacks with even an above-average PFF grade.

• This should filter plenty of targets to Gabe Davis, the clear No. 2 for the Bills offense.

Davis has been among the game's best receivers at both the catch point and after the catch and should see plenty of open space against this porous secondary. The Pats' depleted pass rush should leave Josh Allen plenty of time to throw, too.

• Always a deep and red-zone threat, Davis should have plenty of room to operate and should see his targets elevated in a spot that filters targets and production to secondary receivers.

Story: Miami Dolphins passing offense explodes, with WR Jaylen Waddle leading the way

• We discussed the reasons to be bullish on the Miami Dolphins passing attack in our matchups column.

The Philadelphia Eagles' secondary is a weak spot, and Miami's quick passing attack allows the Dolphins to mitigate the effects of opposite pass rushes.

• While Jaylen Waddle has yet to top even 90 yards this season, it seems it is only a matter of time until he explodes, as his underlying numbers remain elite. Waddle has a 29% target rate, 11th in the NFL, and he is well above average in terms of separation, deep grade, grade at the catch point and after the catch.

Waddle looks especially terrific against zone coverage, where he has been among the game’s best pass-catchers. The Eagles have played zone coverage on almost three-quarters of their snaps this season.

• Waddle's props are depressed as a result of failing to produce yards this season, but his underlying play and matchup suggest a ceiling game is on its way soon.
