It’s hard to nitpick a wide receiver who has just got off to arguably the best four-season start in NFL history. That said, he doesn’t have a season with a PFF receiving grade over 92.0, which Tyreek Hill has accomplished in each of the last two seasons and Davante Adams accomplished in 2020 and 2021. Jefferson has never been the highest-graded receiver in a season, but he’s been the most consistent over the last four years.

Sam Darnold will be Jefferson's new quarterback, and luckily he favors wide receivers. He’s also not afraid to move off his first read, and Jefferson is the first read more than almost any other receiver. Darnold also has a very high rate of getting sacked, and that hasn’t gotten better during his time in the NFL. The Vikings have a decent pass-blocking offensive line, but they can only do so much.

You can make arguments for or against Jefferson being the best or second-best wide receiver in the NFL, but the loss of Kirk Cousins drops him out of the top two in fantasy football. Luckily, we saw that Jefferson can still produce at a top-five level regardless of his quarterback last season, so he can still be drafted confidently with a pick in the first half of the first round.
