NFL wide receiver rankings ahead of Week 3

  • Garrett Wilson is already meshing with Justin Fields: He led all receivers in yards per route run (3.80) and passer rating when targeted (155.7) while finishing fourth in threat rate (32.3%) in Week 1.
  • Rookie Tetairoa McMillan is well on his way to becoming an NFL star: The eighth overall pick recorded a third-ranked 77.6 PFF receiving grade in his NFL debut.

We're diving into the top wide receivers by PFF receiving grade through Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season. To qualify, players need to have logged at least 25 receiving snaps.


1. Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams (90.9)

Nacua caught eight passes against the Titans for 91 yards. He moved the chains four times, including with back-to-back plays of 20-plus yards in the third quarter, and gained 21 yards after contact (fourth most). Most of his yardage came from the slot, where he gained 63 yards receiving off four catches.

Nacua leads all receivers in catches (18) and first downs (11), entering Week 3. He’s been targeted 20 times at a 39.2% clip (second) and has five catches of 20-plus yards (tied for most). Ten of his targets have come between the numbers, and he has caught each one for 165 yards and nine first downs, earning a position-best 93.4 PFF receiving grade from that area of the field.


2. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions (87.0)

St. Brown bounced back against the Bears after a slow start to the year, catching nine of 11 targets for 115 yards and three touchdowns. He opened up the game with three explosive gains in the first quarter, including two catches of 30-plus yards against Tyrique Stevenson. St. Brown bested Stevenson again late in the second quarter for his first touchdown of the season.

He moved the chains seven times, averaged 5.1 yards after the catch per reception and recorded 4.11 yards per route run in Week 2, leading to a 91.4 PFF receiving grade — the top mark among all receivers.

St. Brown has now caught 13 of 16 targets for 160 yards and leads all receivers in yards per route run (4.33). He has caught all six of his targets outside the numbers for 46 yards. Five of his first downs have come from that area of the field, along with his three touchdown catches. He ranks third in PFF receiving grade outside the numbers (87.4) and fifth in grading against single coverage (90.3), where he’s caught all five of his targets for 53 yards.


3. Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens (86.6)

Flowers was targeted 10 times against the Cleveland Browns, catching seven passes for 75 yards. He recorded two explosive gains, both in the third quarter, including a diving catch on a third-down play for 16 yards and a conversion.

Flowers has consecutive seven-catch games to start the season, with 218 receiving yards (fifth most). He ranks first in yards after the catch (117) and is averaging 8.4 yards after the catch per reception (eighth). He also places second in yards per route run (4.27).

The Boston College product is the only Raven with double-digit targets through two games (19). Eleven of his targets have come from 10-plus yards downfield, where he owned a 92.5 PFF receiving grade in 2024 and carries a 91.1 mark into Week 3.


4. Dontayvion Wicks, Green Bay Packers (82.2)

Wicks led Green Bay’s receivers in targets (six), catches (four) and receiving yards (44) in Week 3 against the Commanders. Each of his catches moved the chains, while three came against man coverage, where he gained 31 yards and earned an 86.7 PFF receiving grade.

Wicks now has six catches for 74 yards on the season, all first-down gains. Five of his eight targets have come against man coverage, where he ranks ninth with an 86.6 PFF receiving grade. 


5. Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals (81.5)

Chase dominated Jacksonville in Week 2, hauling in 14 of 17 targets for 165 yards. He led all receivers in yards after the catch (92) and yards after contact (51), while 10 of his catches gained first downs. Chase caught his first touchdown of the season late in the first quarter, securing a four-yard pass against Tyson Campbell in coverage. He finished the game with eight catches of 10-plus yards, including two gains of 25 yards, and an 86.5 PFF receiving grade (second best).

Chase has 16 catches for 191 yards entering Week 3. He has gained 11 first downs and is tied for eighth in missed tackles forced rate (25%). Most of his catches (14) have come from behind the line of scrimmage or within nine yards of it, an area from which he has gained 101 yards after the catch (first).


6. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks (79.9)

Smith-Njiba gained four first downs on eight catches against the Steelers, finishing with 103 receiving yards. He secured two contested catches, forced two missed tackles and logged two gains of 15-plus yards, both against Jalen Ramsey. His second explosive play was a 43-yarder late in the fourth quarter to move the Seahawks into the red zone with a chance to extend their lead. Smith-Njigba finished with a 114.4 passer rating when targeted.

The third-year wideout has caught 17 of 22 passes for 227 yards (second most) through two games. He has gained 10 first downs and has seven catches of 15-plus yards (tied for most). He’s also maintaining a 40.7% threat rate (first). 

While most of Smith-Njigba's targets have come against zone coverage (14), his biggest plays have come against single coverage, where he’s caught four of six passes for 110 yards (second most). He boasts an 88.5 PFF receiving grade (eighth) and is averaging 5.50 yards per route run against man coverage.


7. Malik Nabers, New York Giants (79.5)

Nabers recorded his second career 150-yard receiving game against the Cowboys, catching nine of 13 passes for 167 yards — the most of any receiver in Week 2. He recorded four explosive gains, with three catches of 25-plus yards, including touchdown grabs of 29 and 48 yards. He also finished the game with a 46.2% deep-target rate (fifth best) and averaged 21.9 depth yards per target. Nearly all of his production (eight catches and 155 yards) came against Trevon Diggs, against whom he saw 12 targets.

Nabers leads the position in receiving yards (238) through two weeks. He also paces the league in open separation PFF receiving grade (96.1), having caught all nine of his targets for 189 yards when he’s been able to gain at least a step of separation. He’s also tied for first in deep field targets (seven).


8. KaVontae Turpin, Dallas Cowboys (79.1)

Turpin secured all four of his targets for 47 yards in Week 3, including a 10-yard touchdown against Andru Phillips on a third-down play with two minutes remaining in the first half. He was able to beat Phillips again on the next drive on another third-down play, this time for 16 yards. Turpin accounted for three first downs and finished the game with a 155.2 passer rating when targeted.

The special teams ace has caught all six of his targets through two games for 65 yards and four first downs. He’s generating a team-best 151.4 passer rating when targeted and ranks second among Cowboys receivers in threat rate (20.7%).


9. Wan'Dale Robinson, New York Giants (78.9)

Robinson also had no trouble getting by the Cowboys' defense, catching eight of 10 passes for a career-high 142 yards. It was his first 100-yard game since his rookie season in 2022. Robinson gained five first downs and had three explosive gains on the afternoon, all catches of 25-plus yards. He caught his first touchdown of the season, a 32-yarder against Trevon Diggs on fourth-and-4 late in the fourth quarter to give the Giants a narrow lead. Robinson finished the game with a 152.1 passer rating when targeted and a 40% deep-target rate.

The Kentucky product has caught 14 of 18 passes for 197 yards and nine first downs in 2025. He leads all receivers with 14 targets from the slot, securing 10 for five first downs, including his Week 2 touchdown. Robinson has tallied 169 receiving yards and a 74.9 PFF receiving grade on those plays (fifth best) from that alignment.


10. Kayshon Boutte, New England Patriots (76.8)

After seeing eight targets in Week 1, Boutte was held to just one against the Dolphins in Week 2. The pass came on a third-down play late in the first quarter, which he caught for a 16-yard touchdown, battling Jack Jones all the way to the endzone. That score was Boutte's first of the season.


11. Garrett Wilson, New York Jets (76.7)

Wilson had a quieter day against the Bills, catching four passes for 50 yards. He gained two first downs, including an 18-yard gain in the first quarter. He was also charged with a drop and a fumble, both on third-down plays.

Wilson now has 11 catches for 145 yards. His targets continue to come versus zone coverage (11 of 15), against which he has eight catches for 97 yards and ranks seventh in PFF receiving grade (76.5).


12. Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams (76.3)

Adams caught six passes for 106 yards against the Titans. He racked up four explosive gains, including a 16-yard touchdown when he froze L'Jarius Sneed with a hesitation move and sprinted untouched into the endzone. Adams had two catches of 25-plus yards on the day, also against Sneed. He did drop a pass, giving him three in two games.

Adams has caught 10 of 20 targets for 157 yards and eight first downs in 2025. He has six explosive gains and three catches of 20-plus yards. The veteran boasts a 92.0 PFF receiving grade against single coverage (second best) and a 92.5 PFF receiving grade when he generates open separation.


13. Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (76.2)

McMillan caught six of nine targets against the Cardinals for 100 yards and five first downs. He had three catches of 20-plus yards on the day, including a 40-yard gain with Max Melton and Budda Baker in coverage. McMillan averaged 8.0 yards after the catch per reception and finished with a 72.6 PFF receiving grade.

The top-10 pick has been the league’s most-targeted rookie receiver through Week 2 and leads the Panthers with 11 catches for 168 yards and nine first downs. He has four catches of 20-plus yards.

Fifteen of his 18 targets have come versus press looks, against which he has nine catches for 142 yards (tied for most) and seven first downs. The rookie is averaging 6.7 yards after the catch per reception and owns an 81.5 PFF receiving grade against press coverage (fifth best).


14. Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers (75.9)

McConkey caught all five of his targets against Las Vegas for 48 yards and two first downs. His longest gain of the night was a 19-yard grab late in the first quarter, his only reception over 10 yards.

McConkey now has 11 catches for 122 yards and five first downs in 2025.


15. Ricky Pearsall, San Francisco 49ers (74.5)

Pearsall mirrored his Week 1 target (six) and catch (four) totals against New Orleans, this time for 56 receiving yards. All of his receptions went for first downs, and his longest gain was a 15-yard catch against double coverage midway through the first quarter. 

Pearsall has caught eight of 12 passes through two games and leads the 49ers with 164 receiving yards. He has seen three targets against double coverage, bringing in each for 54 yards on his way to a 76.2 PFF receiving grade.


16. Troy Franklin, Denver Broncos (73.7)

Franklin recorded career highs in catches (eight) and yards (89) against the Colts in Week 2. No other Broncos receiver tallied more than 24 receiving yards. Most of Franklin's yards came from three explosive gains, including a 42-yard catch early in the second quarter. He capped that drive with a 3=three-yard touchdown catch, his first of the season. He also forced three missed tackles on the afternoon.

Franklin has caught 12 of 15 passes for 133 yards and six first downs. He is the only Denver pass catcher so far with more than 100 receiving yards. Ten of his targets have come from the slot, where he has tallied eight catches for 81 yards, including his touchdown, and a 72.5 PFF receiving grade (ninth best).


17. Keon Coleman, Buffalo Bills (73.6)

Buffalo’s pass-catching hero in Week 1 was kept quiet against the Jets, with three catches for 26 yards. He gained two first downs on back-to-back plays, including a 12-yarder.

Coleman now has 11 catches for 138 yards with eight first downs. He’s been Buffalo’s leading wideout through two games, pacing their receiver group in targets, catches, receiving yards and first downs. He also leads Buffalo’s skill players in threat rate (21.4%).


18. Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts (73.2)

Downs caught six of eight targets for 51 yards and four first downs against the Broncos, with his longest reception going for 19 yards on the second play of the game. He finished the day with two catches of 10-plus yards.

Downs has eight grabs for 63 yards and five first downs through two weeks. He leads the Colts in threat rate (27.5%) and owns 70.0-plus PFF receiving grades against man (73.1) and zone coverages (70.4), with his targets evenly split across both looks (six man targets and five zone targets).


19. Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears (72.8)

Odunze brought in seven of his 10 targets for 128 yards and six first downs against the Lions. He notched three catches of 20-plus yards, including a 28-yard second-quarter touchdown and a 37-yard gain. He added another touchdown near halftime, this time a six-yard catch on a slide route. Odunze forced two missed tackles and secured two contested catches. He averaged 5.4 yards after the catch per reception and 3.12 yards per route run, too.

The second-year wideout's 2025 resume includes 13 catches for 165 yards, nine first downs and five 15-plus-yard gains. He is also the only Bears player with a receiving touchdown through two games (three). Odunze has been targeted seven times on conversion downs, bringing in five for 81 yards and three first downs. He is generating a 149.4 passer rating on those plays (third best) and ranks fifth in PFF receiving grade (84.2).


20. Jakobi Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders (71.4)

Meyers caught six passes against the Chargers for 68 yards. He gained 50 yards after the catch and 28 yards after contact while picking up three first downs. Meyers also forced three missed tackles and recorded two catches of 20-plus yards, both on third-down plays.

The veteran wideout now has 14 catches for 165 yards and eight first downs this season. He ranks second in yards gained after contact (52) and ninth in yards after the catch per reception (6.6). Meyers also leads the position with nine forced missed tackles.


21. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins (70.8)

Hill caught six of seven passes for 109 yards and four first downs against the Patriots. He notched two gains of 20-plus yards on the afternoon, including a 47-yard catch on a third-down play early in the third quarter, and finished the game with a 118.8 passer rating when targeted.

Hill has 10 catches for 149 yards through two weeks. He has moved the chains seven times and has three explosive plays, all gains of 20-plus yards. All six of his short-area targets have gone for catches, accounting for 46 yards and four first downs. He remains a dangerous deep threat, securing three of five such targets for 90 yards (tied for third most) and ranking in the top 10 in deep-target rate (38.5%).


22. Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (70.7)

Evans saw 11 targets against the Texans. He brought in five for 56 yards and three first downs, including a 22-yard gain against Derek Stingley Jr. late in the third quarter.

Evans has 10 catches for 107 yards and seven first downs through two games. He continues to stretch the field in his 12th season, as 11 of his 19 targets have been 10-plus yards downfield. He has secured five of those passes for 70 yards, earning an 80.2 PFF receiving grade in the process.


23. George Pickens, Dallas Cowboys (70.6)

Pickens came up clutch for the Cowboys late in the game, recording four catches for 56 yards between the fourth quarter and overtime en route to an 89.2 PFF receiving grade in those periods. He caught his first touchdown of the season with 56 seconds remaining in the fourth, a six-yarder with Paulson Adebo in coverage. The play gave the Cowboys a four-point lead.

Pickens got the best of Adebo again in overtime, making a 27-yard catch to move the Cowboys into field-goal range, setting up the game-winning kick three plays later. Pickens finished the game with five catches for 68 yards, all first downs.

The former Steeler has eight catches for 98 yards through Week 2. He has moved the chains seven times, has gained 23 yards after contact and has secured five of six contested targets for 54 yards, including his touchdown against the Giants.


24. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys (70.3)

Lamb enjoyed a big day against the Giants, catching nine of 11 targets for 112 yards. He secured four contested catches, gained four first downs and tallied three gains of 15-plus yards, including catches of 33 and 25 yards. 

Lamb has 16 catches for 222 yards and 10 first downs this season. He has gained 59 yards after the catch and 24 yards after contact, with six plays of 15-plus yards. He did drop another pass against the Giants, keeping him in the league lead at the position (five).


25. Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers (70.2)

Doubs caught three of five targets for 28 yards against the Commanders. Most of his production came via a 17-yard catch early in the first quarter, after losing Marshon Lattimore across the middle of the field. He also brought in a five-yard touchdown pass later in the quarter to give the Packers their first score of the game. Doubs finished the night with a 115.0 passer rating when targeted.

The former fourth-round pick has five catches for 96 yards and four first downs through two weeks. He has three explosive gains, with two catches of 20-plus yards, and is generating a 129.9 passer rating when targeted. Three of his targets have come within nine yards of the line of scrimmage, an area where he owns a 74.9 PFF receiving grade on those plays. 


26. Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts (69.7)

Pierce was targeted five times against the Broncos. He hauled in four catches for 68 yards, gained three first downs and caught two contested targets, including a 44-yard grab over Riley Moss late in the second quarter.

Pierce ranks second among Colts receivers in receiving yards (104) and has caught five of eight targets for four first downs. He is serving as a dangerous deep threat, with three of his catches coming 10-plus yards downfield, including two grabs of 20-plus yards. Pierce boasts a 91.0 PFF receiving grade on those plays. He recorded a 93.0 PFF receiving grade from the same area in 2024.


27. Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers (69.4)

Johnston has opened the season with consecutive 70-yard receiving games. Most of his production against the Raiders in Week 2 came late in the second quarter, when he was able to split the defense and race upfield untouched for a 60-yard touchdown. He finished the night with a 132.6 passer rating when targeted.

Johnston has eight catches for 150 yards through two games. He is tied for first in the league with three touchdown receptions and has logged three gains of 20-plus yards. 


28. Nico Collins, Houston Texans (69.4)

Collins caught a 29-yard touchdown pass on the opening drive against Tampa Bay, his first of two explosive gains in Week 2, both against Zyon McCollum. He was targeted nine times against the Buccaneers, finishing with three catches for 52 yards. 

Collins is off to a slower start this season compared to 2024. Through two games last season, Collins had 14 catches for 252 yards and ranked second in PFF receiving grade (90.5). So far this season, he has secured six of 14 targets for only 77 yards.


29. Sterling Shepard, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (69.4)

On the other side, Shepard caught all four of his targets for 34 yards and two first downs. Nearly half of his production came from a 15-yard grab against double coverage in the first quarter, a play that moved the Buccaneers into the red zone. Shepard finished the night with a 102.1 passer rating when targeted.

Shepard has been held to less than 40 yards receiving in both games, but he has still been reliable, securing seven of 10 targets for five first downs and two explosive gains.


30. Drake London, Atlanta Falcons (69.0)

London tallied three catches for 49 yards against the Vikings, with 24 yards after the catch and 22 yards after contact. London recorded two catches of 15-plus yards but also lost a fumble on one, an 18-yard gain late in the first quarter.

London now has 11 catches for 104 yards and four first downs. Twelve of his targets have come from the short area of the field, where he’s caught six passes for 68 yards en route to a 76.4 PFF receiving grade. London led the league in PFF receiving grade from within nine yards of the line of scrimmage in 2024 (91.6).


31. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Miami Dolphins (69.0)

Westbrook-Ikhine caught both of his targets against New England for 18 yards, both first downs. He secured a contested catch for 11 yards and forced a missed tackle on the other.

Westbrook-Ikhine has caught all three of his targets through two games for 25 yards and three first downs.


T-32. Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints (68.7)

Olave hauled in six of his 10 targets for 54 yards against the 49ers in Week 2. He moved the chains four times and recorded three catches of 10-plus yards, earning a 91.1 PFF receiving grade on those plays.

Olave has 13 catches through two games for 108 yards and six first downs. Eleven of his 23 targets have come from the slot, where he’s caught six passes for 43 yards. 


T-32. Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins (68.7)

Waddle logged five catches on six targets for 68 yards against the Patriots. He recorded three catches of 15-plus yards, including an 18-yard touchdown early in the second quarter. He also made three contested grabs and finished with a 153.5 passer rating when targeted in the game.

Waddle has caught nine of 11 targets for 98 yards to start the season. He is generating a 134.1 passer rating when targeted and owns an 80.9 PFF receiving grade on contested targets.


T-32. Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals (68.7)

Higgins secured three of his nine targets for 56 yards in Week 2. Most of his production came from a 42-yard touchdown on a third-down play late in the third quarter. He was able to bounce off two defenders as they collided for the tackle and walk into the endzone for the score.

Higgins has six catches for 89 yards and four first downs heading into Week 3.
