Baltimore Ravens 24, Indianapolis Colts 16
Despite waiting until the sixth round to hear his name called, former Colorado receiver LaJohntay Wester wasted no time leaving his mark on the Ravens’ preseason debut. The first-year receiver and returner earned an 88.0 PFF punt-return grade after taking a first-quarter punt 87 yards to the house. He paired that with a strong 82.0 PFF receiving grade.

Philadelphia Eagles 34, Cincinnati Bengals 27
The NFL-leading quarterback-receiver duo of Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase picked up right where it left off. Burrow was surgical, finishing with a perfect 100% adjusted completion rate on his way to an 86.4 PFF passing grade. And Chase looked unguardable, generating 7.70 yards per route run and a game-leading 93.6 PFF receiving grade.

Las Vegas Raiders 23, Seattle Seahawks 23
Jamal Adams’ transition from safety to Will linebacker for the Raiders is off to a strong start. The former first-round pick led the game with an 89.8 PFF overall grade, showcasing his talent for navigating the box and fitting the run. Adams finished with three run stops, including a pair of tackles for loss or no gain, while logging zero negatively graded snaps against the run.

Detroit Lions 17, Atlanta Falcons 10
After struggling to generate pressure last season, the Falcons are off to an explosive start. The unit looks deeper this time around, with Arnold Ebiketie (94.7 PFF pass rush grade), Brandon Dorlus (92.3) and Zach Harrison (85.5) showing up against the Lions. And that’s all without mentioning a solid preseason debut for first-round edge rushers James Pearce Jr and Jalon Walker.

Cleveland Browns 30, Carolina Panthers 10
The race to the top of the Browns' quarterback competition just got a bit more interesting after a strong preseason debut from fifth-round pick Shedeur Sanders. The rookie showcased his poise in the pocket to deliver strikes, making a pair of big-time throws and finishing with a 79.8 PFF overall grade.

New England Patriots 48, Washington Commanders 18
New England’s investment in revamping its offensive line this offseason is already starting to pay dividends. Center Garrett Bradbury (92.7 PFF overall grade) and first-year tackle Will Campbell (85.4) paved the way on the ground, with each surpassing a 90.0 PFF run-blocking grade. They also held up in pass protection, allowing zero combined pressures.

New York Giants 34, Buffalo Bills 25
The Bills’ emphasis on rebuilding their defense this offseason netted the unit valuable pieces to build around for years to come. First-year defensive tackles Deone Walker (92.8 PFF overall grade) and T.J. Sanders (82.0) made the most of limited reps in their preseason debuts, with Sanders tallying an 18.2% pass-rush win rate and Walker coming away with one of the Bills’ four batted passes.

Minnesota Vikings 20, Houston Texans 10
New Texans linebacker E.J. Speed hit the ground running in his Texans preseason debut. The 30-year-old linebacker generated a 92.0 PFF overall grade, showcasing improvements in coverage, where he notched a forced incompletion and a stop on three targets.

Pittsburgh Steelers 31, Jacksonville Jaguars 25
Despite the appearance of a lack of depth in the Steelers' receiving corps, the unit proved just the opposite to start the preseason. Scotty Miller (84.5 PFF receiving grade), Darnell Washington (89.7) and undrafted rookie Ke'Shawn Williams (76.6) all stepped up to establish themselves in the pecking order and make their cases for spots on the roster.

Los Angeles Rams 31, Dallas Cowboys 21
Although Willie Lampkin’s lack of size ultimately resulted in his signing with the Rams as an undrafted free agent, he wasted no time proving he belongs at the NFL level. The first-year interior offensive lineman produced strong PFF grades as a pass protector and a run blocker, resulting in a game-high 94.1 PFF overall grade across 32 snaps.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 29, Tennessee Titans 7
The Titans struggled to get anything going on offense, thanks to big contributions from Tampa Bay’s defensive depth. Undrafted rookie cornerback Roman Parodie made his case to make the roster with a 90.5 PFF coverage grade, highlighted by a pick-six and a 29.2 passer rating allowed into his coverage.

Arizona Cardinals 20, Kansas City Chiefs 17
Although Emari Demercado struggled to get going on the ground, he showed how dangerous he can be as a receiver out of the backfield. The third-year back caught both of his targets, including a screen on third down that he took 43 yards for the score. Demercado earned an impressive 89.3 PFF receiving grade for the game.

New York Jets 30, Green Bay Packers 10
Green Bay’s pass-rushing depth took a notable step forward to kick off the preseason, with excellent performances from fourth-year edge rusher Kingsley Enagbare (79.4 PFF pass-rush grade) and fourth-round rookie Barryn Sorrell (87.9). The pair combined for five pressures, including three hits, with the rookie even surpassing a 30% pass-rush win rate.

Denver Broncos 30, San Francisco 49ers 9
The Broncos' defense picked up where it left off last season, showcasing a secondary with a nose for taking the ball away. Denver totaled three interceptions, including one from Ja'Quan McMillian, that contributed to his impressive 91.5 PFF coverage grade.

Miami Dolphins 24, Chicago Bears 24
After spending most of his rookie campaign as depth along the Bears' defensive line, former fifth-round pick Austin Booker is making noise early in his second NFL season. He was nearly unblockable against the Dolphins, racking up seven pressures, including a trio of sacks, one of which resulted in a forced fumble near the Dolphins' goal line. The performance netted Booker an excellent 94.7 PFF pass-rush grade, the highest mark of preseason Week 1.

Los Angeles Chargers 27, New Orleans Saints 13
Undrafted rookie cornerback Eric Rogers is making his case to solidify a roster spot after yet another outstanding preseason performance. Against the Saints, Rogers allowed no receptions on four targets into his coverage, two of which he snagged as interceptions. That effort resulted in a 95.7 PFF coverage grade, the highest of the week.
