  • Drake Maye wth a signature win: It was going to take a standout performance for the Patriots to pull off a road win in Buffalo, and that’s exactly what they got from rookie quarterback Drake Maye. The No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft earned an 80.2 PFF passing grade, delivering two big-time throws without a single turnover-worthy play.
  • Dante Fowler Jr. helped ignite the Cowboys’ pass rush: Fowler racked up six total pressures and earned an 84.2 PFF pass-rush grade. He finished the game with a 19.2% pass-rush win rate, the highest among Cowboys edge defenders.

San Francisco 49ers 26, Los Angeles Rams 23

After a quiet start to his NFL career, rookie defensive tackle Alfred Collins made a major impact as the short-handed 49ers pulled off an upset on Thursday Night Football. The former Texas standout earned a 92.1 PFF run defense grade in the win over the Rams—highlighted by a game-changing forced fumble at the goal line that prevented a touchdown.

Minnesota Vikings 21, Cleveland Browns 17

Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has now seen double-digit targets in back-to-back games—and he’s made the most of them. He topped 120 receiving yards in each outing and was particularly dominant against the Browns, hauling in three of four contested targets and averaging an impressive 3.08 yards per route run.

Denver Broncos 21, Philadelphia Eagles 17

Quarterback Bo Nix continued his upward trend after early-season struggles, posting his second consecutive game with a PFF grade above 70.0. In the win over the Eagles, he earned a 68.8 PFF passing grade, highlighted by a big-time throw and, importantly, no turnover-worthy plays.

Dallas Cowboys 37, New York Jets 22

Dante Fowler Jr. helped ignite the Cowboys’ pass rush in their win over the Jets, racking up six total pressures and earning an 84.2 PFF pass-rush grade. He finished the game with a 19.2% pass-rush win rate — the highest among Cowboys edge defenders.

New Orleans Saints 26, New York Giants 14

Defensive tackle Bryan Bresee delivered a career-best performance in the Saints‘ first win of the season over the Giants on Sunday. While a forced fumble helped boost his grade, Bresee was impactful throughout, earning a positive grade on 26.7% of his run defense snaps and generating three pressures as a pass-rusher.

Indianapolis Colts 40, Las Vegas Raiders 6

Big wins are built in the trenches, and the grades from this game say it all. Along the Colts‘ offensive line, all five starters earned PFF grades of 65.0 or higher, with left guard Quenton Nelson standing out thanks to an 89.6 run-blocking grade. On the defensive side, DeForest Buckner and Samson Ebukam both earned PFF grades above 75.0, anchoring a dominant performance up front.

Carolina Panthers 27, Miami Dolphins 24

The story of the game for the Panthers was an outstanding performance from running back Rico Dowdle, who racked up 206 rushing yards—169 of which came after contact. He forced eight missed tackles and earned a 75.8 PFF grade in the win over the Dolphins.

Houston Texans 44, Baltimore Ravens 10

Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud delivered arguably his best performance of the season in the win over the Ravens, earning a season-high 78.9 PFF grade. A major factor in his success was pass protection—Stroud was under pressure on just six of his 30 dropbacks, marking the first time all year he’s faced pressure on fewer than 10 dropbacks in a game.

Tennessee Titans 22, Arizona Cardinals 21

While the Cardinals’ collapse dominated headlines, Titans quarterback Cam Ward quietly delivered one of the best performances of his young career. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft earned a 67.7 PFF passing grade and recorded three big-time throws — the most in a single game in his career to date.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 38, Seattle Seahawks 35

Once again proving his value to the Buccaneers, left tackle Tristan Wirfs delivered an impressive performance in pass protection. Across 42 pass-blocking snaps, he allowed just a single quarterback hurry and finished the game with an 85.4 PFF pass-blocking grade.

Detroit Lions 37, Cincinnati Bengals 24

While most of the attention will go to the Lions‘ offense, linebacker Jack Campbell deserves just as much praise for his performance on the other side of the ball. He earned a 92.8 PFF grade in the game, with scores above 80.0 both against the run and in coverage. Through five weeks, his 90.7 overall PFF grade ranks third among all linebackers.

Washington Commanders 27, Los Angeles Chargers 10

The Commanders’ pass rush dominated, with four defenders who logged at least 15 pass-rush snaps earning a PFF pass-rush grade above 75.0. Leading the charge was second-year interior defender Jer'Zhan Newton, who tallied a sack and three hurries to lead the team in pressures.

Jacksonville Jaguars 31, Kansas City Chiefs 28

Travis Hunter finally delivered his breakout performance as both an offensive and defensive contributor on Monday Night Football, starting on both sides of the ball. He earned a 77.3 PFF grade on defense, allowing just one reception for seven yards on three targets across 19 coverage snaps. On offense, he averaged 2.46 yards per route run, recording 64 receiving yards on three catches over 26 snaps.
