1. RB Jeremiyah Love, Arizona Cardinals
Love was selected third overall in April, the highest draft position for a running back since Saquon Barkley. Every running back taken within the first 20 picks over the past five seasons finished as a top-12 rookie. Love’s 79.2 PFF receiving grade ranks second among the top 20 running backs in the 2025 draft class, adding another dimension to an already high-upside profile. The landing spot in Arizona is a mild concern given the existing backfield competition and a PFF run-blocking grade that ranked fourth-lowest in the NFL last season, but the draft capital alone should secure him enough volume to be a borderline RB1 in redrafts and the top option in dynasty rookie drafts.
2. QB Fernando Mendoza, Las Vegas Raiders
Mendoza was the No. 1 overall pick and the best pure passer in his class, but several factors keep him below the typical top selection in fantasy. He landed with a Raiders team that graded near the bottom of the league on offense, offers little of the rushing upside that fuels most recent first-round quarterbacks and ranks in the back third of recent first-rounders in PFF passing grade. The Raiders also appear set to sit him behind Kirk Cousins to start, so he may not play much, if at all, this season. He is worth waiting on in dynasty rookie drafts and is a redraft option only in superflex.
3. WR Carnell Tate, Tennessee Titans
Tate was a surprise fourth overall pick in April, but the draft capital alone makes him the top dynasty wide receiver and the first rookie wideout off the board in redrafts. Recent top-10 selections like Ja'Marr Chase, Malik Nabers, Jaylen Waddle and Garrett Wilson all became immediate fantasy contributors. Tate's target share could mirror the 29.8% Nabers generated in New York given Tennessee‘s similar receiver setup with Wan'Dale Robinson in the slot under Brian Daboll. The main variable is Cam Ward‘s development as a passer, but Tate has the role and the situation to be a fantasy starter from Day 1.
