- One rookie door closes and another opens: Chad Muma has overtaken first-round pick Devin Lloyd in Jacksonville. Dive into where things went wrong for Lloyd and why it may now be Muma’s time to shine.
- Another rookie with a true hidden gem performance: Kayvon Thibodeaux’s arrow is pointing up after a dominant performance on Thanksgiving, but box score watchers may have missed it.
- Iron Maxx: Maxx Crosby has played 95% of his team’s defensive snaps this season and 100% over the past two weeks, redefining what it means to be an elite IDP option.

WEEK 12 TAKEAWAYS
Make sure to check out last week’s waiver targets. Some of the key players stood out as potential adds after Week 12 for leagues of all sizes:
Waiver Wire
- LB – A.J. Klein, BUF – With Tremaine Edmunds out once again, Klein stepped into an every-down role, confusing Tyrel Dodson managers. Nonetheless, Klein should be added if Edmunds is going to miss any more time.
- LB – Jalen Reeves-Maybin, HST – An injury to rookie Christian Harris opened up a spot for Reeves-Maybin to earn significant playing time, and he now has a shot to remain in that role if Harris is going to miss time.
- LB – Chad Muma, JAX – Muma displaced fellow rookie Devin Lloyd this week and appears to have been given the keys to an every-down role for the foreseeable future. See Jacksonville’s linebacker section for more information on what may have gone wrong for Lloyd.
- LB – Dylan Cole, TEN – Cole emerged as the clear No. 2 linebacker in Tennessee, so he should have some value in deeper leagues.
- S – DeAndre Houston-Carson, CHI – Both of the Bears' starting safeties are dealing with injuries, but Eddie Jackson appears most likely to miss extended time. Houston-Carson should be considered as his replacement.
- S – Rudy Ford, GB – Darnell Savage exited Week 12’s game after just one snap, so Ford took his place as a productive fill-in.
- S – Jason Pinnock, NYG – Pinnock secured the second safety spot in New York and could have some value in deeper IDP leagues due to playing an every-down role.
- S – Reed Blankenship, PHI – 2022 IDP stud Chauncey Gardner-Johnson left this game due to a rib injury and did not return. Blankenship filled in admirably in his absence and could be a solid option if Gardner-Johnson misses more time.
- S – Keanu Neal, TB – Neal’s role in Tampa’s defense has been lucrative for fantasy production. He should continue in that role and maintain some value in the medium to deep leagues.
- S – Amani Hooker, TEN – Hooker returned after a three-game absence and led his team in tackles this week.
- S – Darrick Forrest, WAS – With Bobby McCain seemingly cemented in a slot corner role, Forrest’s opportunity has increased over the past few weeks, making him a reliable option.

- POINT OF INTEREST: The Cardinals linebacker corps continues to be a unique deployment with Isaiah Simmons, specifically, spending over a third of his snaps in the slot while a rotation of Ben Niemann and Tanner Vallejo replaces him in a typical linebacker role. Zaven Collins’ tackle efficiency continues to be sub-par and is a reason for concern for an every-down linebacker.

- INJURY: Rookie Arnold Ebiketie suffered a forearm injury in the second quarter and did not return. He had been one of the Falcons' more effective pass-rushers, although that's a low bar to clear. Without him, there isn’t an edge defender in Atlanta worth rostering in most leagues.

- POINT OF INTEREST: After last week’s downgrade, Mykal Walker continued to trend in the wrong direction, as he ceded even more of his snaps to rookie Troy Andersen, who has closed the gap and could surpass Walker on the depth chart sooner rather than later. Fantasy managers could get ahead of this by adding Andersen now, if possible.
