The New England Patriots beat the New York Jets for the 14th straight time in a Week 11 game almost completely devoid of offense.

The Jets had more punts (10) than completions in the 10-3 loss to the Patriots and managed just 103 net yards. New England moved the ball better but crossed the 50-yard line only twice in the second half and needed an 84-yard, go-ahead punt return by rookie cornerback Marcus Jones to secure the win.

Offensive spotlight: The Patriots’ running backs were the best offensive players in this game. Rhamondre Stevenson led New England with six catches for 56 yards, while Damien Harris took just eight carries for 65 yards and added 28 yards on two catches. Stevenson picked up 65 yards after the catch and 38 after contact and forced six total missed tackles.

Quarterback Mac Jones played a conservative game but completed 85.2% of his passes and was sacked six times.

The Jets averaged -0.550 expected points added per play, while the Patriots were still bad but averaged only -0.189 EPA per play.

Defensive spotlight: Wilson couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn, completing just 9-of-22 passes for 77 yards with two turnover-worthy plays, but Patriots cornerback Jonathan Jones didn’t relinquish a single catch on four targets with a forced incompletion and a dropped interception.

Edge defender Matt Judon collected 1.5 more sacks and now has a career-high 13 through 10 games.

Rookie spotlight: Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner continues to make a strong case for Defensive Rookie of the Year. He was targeted just four times and allowed two catches for 19 yards with one first down and one forced incompletion.

Patriots first-round pick Cole Strange’s best play at left guard didn’t count. He showed his hustle and athleticism by chasing down Gardner on a fumble recovery that ultimately didn’t count.

Offensive line spotlight: The Patriots benched starting left tackle Trent Brown, who was not listed on the injury report this week, for the start of the game to put Isaiah Wynn at left tackle and Yodny Cajuste at right tackle. Wynn and starting center David Andrews both left the game in the first half due to injuries, and Brown and backup center James Ferentz replaced them, respectively.

Brown and Cajuste each gave up two sacks, based on PFF’s first review of the game. Ferentz gave up one sack. Wynn, Strange and right guard Michael Onwenu didn’t let up any pressure. On the Jets’ side, right guard Dan Feeney, left tackle Duane Brown and center Connor McGovern all gave up sacks.
