NFL offensive line rankings ahead of Week 8

The top five goes unchanged, but several teams see big movement: The Buccaneers, Falcons and Jaguars all fell six or more places after shaky outings in Week 7.

The Colts remain the class of the league: Center Tanor Bortolini has developed into a stud, while Quenton Nelson and Bernhard Raimann continue to be star pass protectors.

Few things are more important to an NFL team’s success than the quality of its offensive line. Disastrous lines, or even singular weak-link mismatches, can determine the outcomes of games, while strong units provide an incredible advantage.

We will monitor NFL offensive line play all season and highlight each team's biggest weak-link players. With Week 7 of the 2025 NFL regular season in the books, here are the weekly rankings and each unit's best player.

1. Indianapolis Colts (No change)

Indianapolis’ protection unit was stout in the team's Week 7 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. The line surrendered seven pressures — including one sack — on 36 pass plays, recording an 88.9 PFF pass-blocking efficiency rating (tied for ninth best).

While he did have a bad snap that resulted in a fumble, center Tanor Bortolini was excellent in pass protection. The second-year player did not allow a single pressure in the victory.

Best player: Quenton Nelson

Nelson’s 88.2 PFF overall grade leads all guards this season.

2. Denver Broncos (No change)

Denver’s line gave up 10 pressures, one being a sack, on 55 dropbacks against the Giants. The resulting 90.0 PFF pass-blocking efficiency rating tied for sixth this week.

Right tackle Mike McGlinchey was a force to be reckoned with in the run game this week. The Notre Dame product earned a 93.2 PFF run-blocking grade, which ranked second to only Penei Sewell in Week 7.

Best player: Garett Bolles

Bolles has allowed pressure on just 2.3% of pass plays this season, which is tied for the best rate among left tackles.
