- Ernest saves Thanksgiving: Ernest Jones delivered a massive IDP performance, thanks to two interceptions, one of which was a pick-six, and leading the team in tackles this week.
- Several safeties see a shift in usage this week: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Reed Blankenship and Kevin Winston Jr. all had improved roles this week that led to strong production and have potential going forward.

Week 13 takeaways
Waiver wire
- LB Nakobe Dean, Philadelphia Eagles: Dean played all but five defensive snaps in this game, as it appears that he’s regained his full-time role once again. Dean is now a weekly starting option in all formats with this role since Jihaad Campbell did not play any defensive snaps this week.
- LB Payton Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers: Wilson played 100% of the team’s defensive snaps with Patrick Queen out of the game and would become a top priority IDP waiver option in all formats, where available, if Queen misses time. Wilson has been a significantly better tackler than what IDP managers have gotten from Queen, who was leading the league in missed tackles coming into Week 13.
- S Kevin Winston Jr., Tennessee Titans: Winston has been a starting IDP option the past few weeks, so he’s likely on many rosters, but helping cement his value is that he remained a full-time player with Xavier Woods returning to the lineup. The team deployed more of a three-safety defense, which put Winston primarily in the slot and around the line of scrimmage. He’ll be the team’s best IDP option for the rest of the season with that usage.

- Point of interest: Josh Sweat came through again this week, landing two more sacks to add to his totals this year. Sweat has now managed to tie his career-high 11 total sacks with room to set a new career high in the final month of the year. Sweat was due for positive sack regression this year, which was highlighted this offseason, and he has delivered on that, much to the delight of his IDP managers.

- Point of interest: Akeem Davis-Gaither played fewer than 60% of the team’s defensive snaps for just the third time this season. Davis-Gaither still delivered a very productive IDP performance considering his usage, and he’ll remain just a deep league option going forward.

- Rookie watch: James Pearce Jr. extended his sack streak to four games this week, as he’s really begun to hit his stride here in the latter half of the year. Pearce is still mostly just a matchup-based streaming option in Year 1 for IDP, but it’s promising to see him put together more consistent production in his rookie year.
