Happy Divisional Round! Two days, four games, eight (mostly) great teams. Hide yo kids, hide yo wife: It’s time to hunker down and win some money.
What follows are my top 10 thoughts on this weekend’s main DraftKings Saturday-Sunday slate. Be sure to check out PFF’s DFS landing page for specific showdown and single-day slate information. A wise man once said, “There’s only one place where success comes before work, and that’s the dictionary.” Let’s get after it.
1. Squeeze Alvin Kamara into lineups of all shapes and sizes
Kamara’s price tag on DraftKings rather inexplicably dropped $600 from last week. He’s the last remaining RB in the playoffs that averaged at least 20 PPR points per game this season. Yes, the Buccaneers boast anyone’s idea of a great run defense. Also yes, it really doesn’t matter against Kamara, who has terrorized these linebackers in coverage over the years:
- 6 receptions-84 yards-1 TD (7 targets)
- 6-84-0 (7)
- 9-112-1 (12)
- 5-36-0 (6)
- 6-42-0 (7)
- 10-47-0 (10)
- 5-51-1 (8)
- 5-9-0 (6)
Being rewarded a full point per reception is ludicrous when you consider how much harder it is for a player to gain 10 rushing or receiving yards. Alas, it’s the game we play, and Kamara is a cheat code because of this. There’s more than enough value across the board to jam him into pretty much any lineup. Arguably the No. 1 projected RB by a full five PPR points, Kamara is worthy of his ridiculous projected ownership but is relatively cheap enough to warrant high-end exposure anyway.
