- Travis Kelce is no longer a top fantasy tight end: Kelce’s PFF receiving grade dropped to 70.5 last season, and he fell to sixth in fantasy points per game. He will be 36 years old before the end of the season, so it’s unlikely those numbers bounce back in a significant way.
- The Baltimore Ravens have a strong tight end room: Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar have graded well and earned a larger role last season. That will likely remain true this season.

Many fantasy managers fall into the trap of assuming a quality veteran player will repeat their fantasy production the following season. However, there can be many reasons for a player to decline, such as changes to the offense or if they had some unstable statistics last season but are expected to regress to the mean.
The three tight ends mentioned in this article will all be at least 30 years old next season, and their receiving numbers were down last year. This has led to a lower ADP, but they are still being drafted high relative to younger tight ends who are expected to score more fantasy points.

Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs (ADP: 6.02)
Travis Kelce is arguably the best receiving tight end in the history of the NFL. He barely played in his rookie season, but he finished eighth in fantasy points per game in his second season. From 2016 to 2022, he was consistently gaining at least 1,000 receiving yards and making the Associated Press’ All-Pro team. He finished first or second in PPR points per game in every season during that seven-year period.
