We’re going back to the well with Jordan Love against a Vikings defense that has not held up well in pass coverage over the past six games. Since their bye, Minnesota has allowed 8.0 yards per attempt — fourth worst in the NFL — along with the league’s third-worst mark in EPA allowed per play.
And as always with the Vikings, everything comes down to how well an offense handles the blitz. Minnesota has sent pressure on a league-high 68.5% of dropbacks over this stretch — with the next-highest team at just 50% — making blitz performance the defining variable in any matchup against them.
Fortunately for Love, he has been outstanding against the blitz, trailing only Drake Maye in EPA per play against five or more rushers. And because blitzing naturally introduces more variance, the baseline explosive-pass rate jumps by nearly 20%, creating even more opportunity for downfield production.
For a Packers team that hasn’t been throwing often — sitting at -10% pass over expected in recent weeks — the volume has been low, but the depth of those attempts remains high. That combination sets up perfectly for Green Bay to be highly efficient through the air in this matchup.

WR Luther Burden III has his breakout performance against the man-coverage-heavy Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers defense has played man coverage at one of the highest rates in the league, lining up in it at the fourth-highest rate this season.
This is an area where Luther Burden has thrived, posting the fifth-most yards per route run and earning a dominant grade against man coverage, strong indicators that his production is anything but a fluke.
His usage continues to trend upward. Burden ran a route on 23 dropbacks compared to Olamide Zaccheaus’ seven last week, a clear sign he has taken over that role in the Bears offense and now has a defined path to sustained success.

Tyler Shough continues his aggressive approach against the Atlanta Falcons
We’re working with a limited sample on Tyler Shough, but that uncertainty actually plays into our favor when we’re betting on the tails. Rookie quarterbacks often take a noticeable step from their first game to their second and third as they adjust to NFL speed and processing demands.
And with Shough, we’ve seen that progression each week. The opponent is confounding in the mix, but the improvement is clear: his EPA has climbed from -0.31 to 0 to 0.35, and his yards-per-attempt average has jumped from 4.2 to 7.3 to 10.4 over those three games.
It’s a small sample, but the trendline is at least encouraging for his continued success.
What’s likely even stickier is the play style: Shough has been extremely aggressive, having posted the second-highest average target depth in the NFL, and his underlying performance — including his PFF grade — has held up well.
Pair that with a Falcons defense allowing the second-most yards per attempt over the last five weeks, and this becomes a sneaky strong matchup for the Saints and for Shough.
