This has led to 7.8 targets per game, which also ranks third, and 12.8 PPR points per game, which ranks fourth. He’s stood out the most in his ability to make defenders miss, as his 1.04 avoided tackles per game, which ranks second.

Generally, the top fantasy tight ends are the best receiving tight ends. Thirteen tight ends have finished as a top-eight fantasy tight end at some point in the last three seasons. Nine of them are the nine highest graded tight ends during that stretch. One of the four exceptions is Taysom Hill, who was a top tight end due to his rushing ability. This leaves Njoku, Evan Engram and Zach Ertz, who reached a top-eight season despite their lower grades. Njoku is the only one of the exceptions to reach the top eight in all three seasons.

Njoku has averaged 13.4 PPR points per game in the 22 games he’s played without Watson over the last three seasons and 8.1 points per game in the 13 games Watson has played at least 50% of Cleveland’s offensive snaps. His points per game without Watson have been notably better each of the past three seasons.
