- With the absence of running back Leonard Fournette, Bortles stepped up to lead the offense. Bortles was very efficient with the ball, putting up an adjusted completion percentage of 80.0 percent. He was particularly sharp under pressure, producing a passer rating of 101.8 on nine pressured snaps.
- Through Week 7 of the season, Bortles is having a better year than his last and currently possess a grade of 75.3 overall. A big improvement in his game has been his production under pressure. Last season Bortles produced a passer rating of just 49.7 while under pressure, compared to a mark of 75.8 this year.
