  • Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd was on the field during Wednesday’s practice, but is still unable to run, according to ESPN’s Ben Goessling.
  • Floyd missed most of the 2016 season with a knee injury, suffering nerve damage during the subsequent surgery that has put his career in doubt, but believes he’ll make it back on the field in 2017, saying “it’s a matter of when.”
  • After struggling during his rookie campaign, Floyd showed signification improvement with 86.7 and 76.2 overall grades in second and third seasons, respectively.
  • While difficult to know whether Floyd will return as the same player, he only recently turned 25 years old and could potentially provide the Vikings with a boost on the interior as a player capable of contributing in both the run and pass game.
