  • Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins hasn’t practiced since August 9th, according to Sarah Bishop. Hopkins has been dealing with a hand injury but is expected to be ready for the regular season opener.
  • Hopkins will be looking for a bounce back season after his play took a slight dip in 2016 earning the 26th best wide receiver grade at 81.2 overall. Hopkins ranked fourth in 2015 (91.9) and 10th in 2014 (86.4).
  • Despite earning a solid grade, Hopkins’ production fell in 2016. Most notably, quarterbacks had a passer rating of just 60.5 when targeting him which ranked 91st out of 96 qualified receivers. While on passes of 20 or more yards downfield he went from ranking second in receptions in 2015 (17) to 68th in 2016 (3).
