His target rate has remained among the best in the league, contributing to a solid yards per route run average. He excels at difficult tasks, such as handling press coverage, making plays against tight coverage and facing double coverage, where few receivers are better. His weakest situation is against man coverage, which is unusual for an X receiver, but he is still better than average.

Hopkins will face much harder competition for targets than he did last season. The Titans handed Calvin Ridley a four-year, $92 million contract to be the receiver opposite Hopkins. The team also signed Tyler Boyd to play in the slot. Aside from Chris Moore, all of the other wide receivers who played for the Titans last season are still on the roster; they are just further down the depth chart.

Hopkins is a reliable receiver with good volume and should be a fantasy starter this year. It's understandable why his ADP is WR39 as of mid-July; the upside for him to be a top-15 wide receiver again isn't there, but he has a good chance of being a consistent fantasy starter throughout the season.
