The New York Giants sprung the playoff upset, knocking off the Minnesota Vikings 31-24 in the wild-card round.
Offensive spotlight: Giants QB Daniel Jones led the Giants in rushing (78 yards) as well as posting over 300 passing yards. He carried the ball 17 times in total and came up big in multiple key spots against a struggling Vikings defense.
Defensive spotlight: Dexter Lawrence was too much for the Vikings offensive line all game long. He led the Giants in pressures and pressure rate and was consistently running through the Vikings' interior, disrupting their passing plays.
Rookie spotlight: Kayvon Thibodeaux didn’t get much joy from the Vikings offensive line, generating pressure on less than 10.0% of his rushes.
Offensive line spotlight: Evan Neal was still an issue for the Giants at right tackle. He allowed pressure on 15.9% of his pass-blocking snaps but was the only Giants lineman to surrender significant pressure.
