The Indianapolis Colts took care of the one-win Carolina Panthers on the road in Week 9 to improve to 4-5 on the season.
Offensive spotlight: Gardner Minshew led the Colts with a modest but serviceable day through the air. He finished with 127 passing yards on 17-of-26 passing. Jonathan Taylor scored the Colts’ lone offensive touchdown on a 10-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter. Outside of Taylor, Michael Pittman Jr. continued to be heavily involved as the team’s leading receiver, recording eight receptions on eight targets for 64 receiving yards. Rookie Josh Downs left the game in the second quarter with a knee injury and did not return.
Defensive spotlight: Kenny Moore entered this week leading all cornerbacks in total tackles (53) and defensive stops (21). Moore not only added eight more tackles and three more defensive stops (unofficial) in this game, but he came up with two pick-sixes, as well.

Rookie spotlight: 2023 first-overall pick Bryce Young threw the ball 39 times, completing 24 passes for 173 yards and one touchdown. Unfortunately, Young also threw three interceptions, two of which went for defensive touchdowns and cost his team any shot of competing in this game. With this week’s performance, Young now has just one fewer interception this season (seven) than he has passing touchdowns (eight).
