PFF's Best Bets for the Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football in Week 2:

Ben Brown: O 41.5 total points (-110 BetMGM)

Chicago ranks 29th in PFF’s opponent-adjusted defensive grade, and although the Packers are supposed to have a vaunted defense, we didn’t see that in Week 1. If the Bears somehow don’t cover the +3 first quarter, then the game should be paced well enough for the over 41.5 to hit. A number of other situations also lead to both bets hitting.

Tej Seth: Bears QB Justin Fields U 35.5 rush yards (-115 DK)

• Fields had 20 designed rushes that were expected to get 4.54 yards per carry as a rookie but ended up getting 2.25. In Week 1, he rushed the ball 11 times for a total of 28 yards in conditions that required the Bears to lean more on the run game than they will against Green Bay. PFF Greenline’s Player Props tool has this as a +6.1% edge, the second highest edge for any rushing prop of the week.

Richard Janvrin: Packers -10 (-110 BetMGM)

• After a lousy performance in Week 1, the Packers -10 might feel like a fool’s errand of a bet, but they get the Bears at home this week. Chicago is depleted on offense, and the Packers defense should fare much better in this one. Also, Aaron Rodgers will rebound here, securing a relatively easy win, and cover.

RJ: Allen Lazard Any Time TD (+200 DraftKings)

• Bonus pick: We all saw Packers QB Aaron Rodgers throwing a great pass downfield to rookie WR Christian Watson, resulting in a drop. Lazard returned to practice this week and should suit up in a game where the Packers are a double-digit favorite. Rodgers has gone on record numerous times in discussing how much the quarterback trusts Lazard. After last week’s blunder, this confluence of events makes this +200 bet an easy one to make.

Tommy Jurgens: Packers -10 (-110 BetMGM)

• This is an excellent bounce-back opportunity for the Packers, who had a similarly anemic performance in their 2021 opener, only to respond with an 18-point home victory vs. a division rival. QB Aaron Rodgers has a career ATS record 21-7 vs. the Bears and has covered the spread in eleven consecutive regular season starts following a loss. Plus, Green Bay was 7-1 ATS at home a season ago, covering the spread by an average margin greater than six points. Interpret such sustained success as an error in the oddsmakers assessment of Packers, and the advantage which Lambeau Field presents.
