The Atlanta Falcons were able to sneak out another win in a game that had no playoff consequences, downing the Arizona Cardinals 20-19.
Offensive spotlight: Rookie running back Tyler Allgeier had another strong day for the Falcons, carrying 20 times for 83 yards and a touchdown, 54 of which came after contact. Allgeier had six rushing first downs and broke three tackles.
Defensive spotlight: J.J. Watt registered another sack as he winds down his NFL career, but Markus Golden was the Cardinals' best pass-rusher. He had an 18.2% pass-rush win rate and matched Watt’s sack.
Rookie spotlight: This was arguably the best game we have seen from Desmond Ridder at quarterback for the Falcons. He completed 19-of-26 passes for 169 yards. He averaged 6.5 yards per attempt and had a 79.2% adjusted completion rate.
Offensive line spotlight: Arizona’s line did predictably well against a weak Atlanta pass rush. Josh Jones has continued his excellent play at left tackle, allowing a 9.1% pressure rate across 44 pass-blocking snaps and potentially showing he can be the team’s long-term left tackle.
