The Ravens are sending linebacker AJ Klein in addition to a 2023 second- and fifth-round pick to Chicago for Smith. Chicago will eat most of Smith’s remaining salary.
Smith leads the league in tackles this season with 83 and also has 2.5 sacks and two interceptions – but his PFF grade on the year is just 50.8. He’s earned sub-36.0 PFF grades in three games, including this past week against Dallas after allowing a touchdown and three first downs in coverage.

Baltimore recently signed veteran DeSean Jackson and he could make his season debut on Monday night against New Orleans.

Smith had four catches for 28 yards on Sunday against Arizona. He has 22 catches for 168 yards and two touchdowns on the season, earning a 57.4 PFF grade.
High-ankle sprains are typically a four-to-six-week injury.
Johnny Mundt and Jacob Hollister are Minnesota's other tight ends on the active roster.

Philadelphia Eagles rookie DT Jordan Davis is believed to have a high-ankle sprain, though he’s undergoing more tests. The first-round pick has played 154 total snaps on the year, earning a strong 78.4 PFF grade.
Carolina Panthers head coach Steve Wilks said PJ Walker is still their starting quarterback. Walker has earned an 81.9 PFF grade over the last two weeks with a league-high nine big-time throws.
Miami Dolphins G Liam Eichenberg will miss some time due to an MCL injury suffered on Sunday. Eichenberg has started every game this season, earning a subpar 44.9 PFF grade. Robert Jones will fill in.
Indianapolis Colts DE Tyquan Lewis will miss the rest of the season due to a ruptured patellar tendon.
