Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will miss his first game of the 2021 NFL season with a non-COVID-related illness.

Jackson was downgraded to questionable Saturday but traveled to Chicago for the Ravens’ Week 11 matchup against the Chicago Bears and was even present at Soldier Field before being listed inactive Sunday at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Jackson missed practice Wednesday and Thursday with the illness but was a full participant in practice Friday and didn’t initially receive an injury designation before being downgraded Saturday.

Tyler Huntley, a 2020 undrafted free agent out of Utah, will start in Jackson’s place. He has eight career completions on 16 passing attempts for 54 yards. He’s also carried the ball 13 times for 33 yards.

The second-year quarterback earned an 83.1 overall PFF grade this preseason, completing 60 of his 83 attempts for 551 yards, four touchdowns and one interception.

FANTASY FOOTBALL OPTIONS

If you're left struggling for a replacement in fantasy football, San Francisco 49ersJimmy Garoppolo and Washington Football Team‘s Taylor Heinicke are likely your two best options.

Neither quarterback is likely to score an abundance of points this week, but they are widely available in fantasy football leagues and have good enough matchups to help you survive.

Heinicke is the consensus QB21 in PFF's expert fantasy football rankings, and Garoppolo comes in one spot later as the QB22. They are projected to score 16.6 and 16.4 fantasy points, respectively.
