Week 17 NFL DFS Breakdown: Stacks, pivots and galaxy-brain dart throws for GPP and cash games

Happy Week 17, or as many know it: DFS Christmas. Season-long hogwash is over for 99% of people out there, meaning there’s only one way for us to get our usual Sunday fix of fantasy football.

What follows is a breakdown of Sunday’s main slate. We’ll be going through the following four main categories:

  • Motivation: Which teams might be inclined to rest their starters?
  • Injuries: Who are suddenly viable fantasy options due to the presence of banged-up starters?
  • Tournament: Stacks, pivots and galaxy-brain dart throws for those looking to take down a large GPP.
  • Cash: Favorite plays by position for those looking to enter head-to-head or double-up style contests.

Week 17 is always a bit of a unique slate due to certain teams not having much to play for at this point in the season. Specifically, two squads almost assuredly will rest starters and two might do so due to their playoff scenario being all but wrapped up. Fourteen additional teams have already been eliminated from contention and quite literally have nothing to play for this week:
