Perfect 2025 fantasy football superflex draft strategy, round by round — Picks 4-6

  • Allow the first three picks to dictate your draft: Whether we’re able to grab an elite quarterback or begin the run of skill-position players, a lot depends on how the draft board plays out in Round 1.
  • One of the more balanced builds to start drafts: Based on current ADPs, a perfectly balanced build may be the best approach through the early rounds.

Superflex fantasy football drafts are becoming more popular, but how and when to draft certain positions remains a common point of uncertainty. This series will focus on superflex average draft positions as we draft from the pick Nos. 4-6 range.

Know your scoring

Before diving into the pick-by-pick strategy, it’s important to familiarize yourself with the overall league and scoring settings, especially for superflex formats.

  • As highlighted in the tables below, full PPR scoring balances things out more for skill-position players compared to quarterbacks, although quarterbacks still hold an advantage at the top.
  • As scoring moves away from full PPR, quarterbacks will dominate even more. As more advantages are given to the skill positions, expect to see a more even distribution among the league’s top scorers.
  • As league size increases, the quarterback position becomes more valuable. There are only 32 starters at most in a given week, so it becomes all the more important to load up on the position early.

Draft Strategy Context
  • League size: 12 teams
  • Scoring settings: Full PPR
  • ADP: Referenced from Sleeper

ROUND 1, PICKS 4-6: Bank on the best QB option available or an elite RB/WR

The first three picks will obviously dictate who is available in this Nos. 4-6 range. Three quarterbacks could go within the first three picks, which would mean you’d have a chance to pivot to Ja'Marr Chase or Bijan Robinson. But on the chance that ADP remains consistent, Jayden Daniels should be the top name circled. He’ll be harder to get with the sixth pick, so pivoting to one of Chase, Robinson or Justin Jefferson can still work as a strong start, just with a focus on quarterback in Round 2.

Top Target: QB Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders
Sleeper Redraft SF ADP: 4.8
  • Daniels immediately established himself as a threat to Lamar Jackson’s rushing throne in his rookie season, surpassing Jackson in rushing yards (864), runs per game (8.1) and scramble rate (12.6%) — all league-leading marks.
  • Not only did Daniels thrive as a runner, but he earned a top-five mark in PFF passing grade as a rookie, which naturally creates high expectations heading into Year 2. If he delivers, it would put him in contention to be the QB1 in 2025.
  • There is always a risk of a sophomore slump, and holdout/trade concerns about wide receiver Terry McLaurin only exacerbate those worries.
  • However, considering Daniels’ elite rushing and passing ability and the additions of Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil to the offense, there’s reason to believe he’ll still operate at a high level and return the high-end fantasy production we got accustomed to last season.
Other possible targets: RB Bijan Robinson, WR Ja'Marr Chase
