Last week, I noticed that when you power-ranked teams by their percentage of plays run in garbage time, the Denver Broncos were second-worst ahead of only the Browns. This week, they made that observation look prescient with a 35-9 loss to a 4-win Dolphins team. The Broncos took 44 snaps in garbage time in that game, which was the most by any team this week. Improbably, they now lead all teams, including the Browns, with 35.8 percent of their plays this year having come in garbage time.

Quarterbacks

Unlike last week, Trevor Siemian was not able to turn those garbage-time opportunities into fantasy success. He threw for just 139 yards and 2 interceptions with the game out of hand, and he didn’t throw a touchdown. Several quarterbacks did throw garbage touchdowns, however, including two apiece from Kirk Cousins and Cam Newton.
