DFS guide: Week 14 in FanDuel tournaments

We had a strong 14-game slate last week, but FanDuel has decided to remove the Sunday night game from their main slate, which means we have just a 13-game slate this week.

Regardless of how you feel about the removal of SNF from the main slate (I personally enjoy having the night game on the main slate), there is still plenty to unravel in Week 14.

If you’re looking for some thoughts on how to navigate the week from a tournament perspective, you’ve come to the right place. Below are some possible strategies for you to employ for Week 14 FanDuel GPPs.

Quarterback

Quarterbacks I like in FanDuel tournaments this week:

Wentz gives you three things: Access to a high floor, access to a high ceiling, and a major chip in what should be the highest-scoring game of the week (Eagles-Rams). His price is pretty prohibitive, but that should only serve to keep ownership down a bit.

I love Stafford in tournaments this week at $8,000 with the “Q-tag.” People generally don’t like to play Stafford anyway, he’s injured, and he’s expensive. His ownership should be low. But it’s a great matchup at home against the Buccaneers and their 28th-ranked pass defense,

I’m not sure Wilson will be under owned, because he’s so cheap ($7,700), and the general public seems to have caught on to the notion that no matchup is too difficult for Wilson (although at Jacksonville is probably as bad as it gets). When a stud like Wilson sees his price drop and his ownership is expected to be relatively low, you need to pounce.

Goff is a home favorite in that should-be high-scoring game against the Eagles, and he’s $900 cheaper than Wentz despite displaying a similar ceiling. Goff has multiple passing scores in four of his pas five games. He only did that twice in his first seven games this year.
