We’re finally into double-digit weeks in the NFL season and Week 10 offers a terrific slate of games for us to choose players from. Pricing by DraftKings this week sets up well for both cash and tournament games, providing us a large player pool of fantasy options to sift through. My aim with this article will be to help narrow down which players have a narrower range of outcomes and thus make for reliable cash game plays. You guys know the drill.

Quarterbacks
Paying down at the quarterback position is a common move to provide some salary relief on tightly priced weeks. Week 10 doesn’t necessarily force us to do that, leaving plenty of quarterbacks that are cash-game viable at every price-point this week.
If you want to pay up for production, I can understand the argument for Matthew Stafford ($6,800) against a Browns funnel defense that invites opposing passers to throw against them. Cleveland is allowing the third-most passing touchdowns and ranks top-10 in DK points allowed. They’ve allowed 7-of-8 opponents to score multiple touchdowns against them and the Lions are implied for the third-highest score of the week at 27.25 points. Given the state of their running game, I’d wager most of those points will come via Stafford.
Josh McCown ($6,100) takes on a Buccaneers defense that has been bleeding fantasy points to opponents. Tampa Bay ranks top-seven in most completions, passing yards, and fantasy points allowed to opposing signal callers. McCown has scored 25, 25, 18, and 17 fantasy points over the last four weeks. The Jets are coming off the bye and it wouldn’t shock me at all to find McCown hit the 300-yard bonus with a couple scores. He’s my current lock for cash on the main slate.
If pressed for cash, I can understand targeting the potential savings and rostering a guy like Ryan Fitzpatrick ($4,900). His matchup against the Jets isn’t a terrifying one, with them ranking top-10 in most completions, passing yards, and passing touchdowns allowed. The Jets are also facing some key injuries in Muhammad Wilkerson (shoulder/foot) and Morris Claiborne (foot) that are currently questionable for Sunday. While there isn’t much of a ceiling to pursue here, the Jets have allowed at least 15 DK points to six opposing quarterbacks over their eight games played. Fitzpatrick should find a way to reach that and provide 3x value and some salary savings.
