We are back with Week 9’s value and bargain plays for the DFS main slate. We’ve found success in the last two weeks hitting on the Lions receiving core and we’re going back to the well with that along with Derek Carr again this week. We have just 10 games on the main slate so let’s get to work and identify some winners who won’t blow our budgets.

Sam Darnold, New York Jets (@ MIA)

FanDuel $7,300/DraftKings $5,900

When it comes to looking for value in DFS, following whatever offense is playing the Dolphins is a good strategy. Darnold has had a passing grade over 60 in just two of his four games this season and has an overall grade of 48.5 on the whole. That said, we have the Dolphins graded as the 31st coverage unit and 32nd-graded pass-rush unit. Darnold is a great QB play this weekend.

Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders (vs. DET)

FanDuel $7,300/DraftKings $5,500

Daniel Kelley wrote earlier this week in his look at the best and worst matchups of Week 9 about Carr’s appeal this week. Carr completed 18 of 30 passes for 285 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions last weekend against the Texans. That was good enough for 23.4 points on both platforms. Carr moves from one good matchup to the next as he has the seventh-most favorable matchup this weekend while being outside the top 10 in pricing on both platforms.
