Fantasy Football: 5 waiver-wire targets before Week 11

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love has a nice matchup that might see him return to early-season form: Though Love’s efficiency has decreased since the start of the season, the Los Angeles Chargers have been a favorable matchup for opposing quarterbacks.

Amid frustrating play for Tony Pollard, backup Rico Dowdle has played well: Coming off a season-high 12 carries, Dowdle might be in consideration for a bigger role against a leaky Carolina Panthers run defense.

New York Jets TE Tyler Conklin sees an expanded role: Those in need of a tight end play can consider Conklin a viable option, having ranked second in team target share over the last two weeks.

Though several of the league’s top offenses are returning from a bye, you may still find yourself in need of a viable flex play to help get you one step closer to your fantasy football playoffs. Here are five players to consider adding from the waiver wire heading if you’re in a pinch due to injury or bye weeks as a potential flex play heading into Week 11.

QB Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

Since Jordan Love’s red-hot start to the 2023 season, posting a ridiculous 11.5% touchdown percentage in the first two weeks of the season, he’s since cooled, completing just 58.7% of passes this season while averaging 223 passing yards per game with a 4.7% touchdown rate through the full nine games. Now in Week 11, the Packers will get a home matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, which could allow an efficient day for fantasy managers streaming the position.

The Chargers have allowed 20.22 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season, the second-most in the league, particularly on the back of a league-high 2,841 passing yards allowed through nine games. The only quarterbacks that haven’t scored 20 or more fantasy points against this defense this season include Tyson Bagent, Aidan O’Connell and Zach Wilson. Consider this a spot for a potential bounceback game for Love’s efficiency.
