During those first 13 weeks, he had a 24.1% deep target rate with an 11.7-yard average depth of target, resulting in 1.10 yards per route run. In addition, 31.1% of his routes came from the slot, leading to 10 receptions for 104 yards.

The Chiefs increased his slot usage to 40.2% over the last seven games of the 2024 season, including the four playoff games but excluding Week 18, when the starters barely played. He caught at least five passes each game during that stretch but his average target depth dropped to 6.6 yards. His deep target rate dropped to 12.5%, so his yards per route run jumped up to 2.13.
