Trey Benson played anywhere from two to 22 snaps each week. He ran the ball five times or fewer in most of his games. The four exceptions were all 20-point blowouts, finishing with three in the Cardinals' favor. Benson ran 8-11 times in those games.

Benson’s value remains entirely dependent on James Conner’s health. Conner has missed at least one game every season, but Benson was also unavailable in the one game Conner missed last season.

Arizona’s offensive line ranked 14th-best in run-blocking grade last season, and the entire group is back together. The line has generally played well at avoiding negative blocks, but not very good at creating positive runs. This makes it easier for Benson to be consistent on his runs, but makes it harder to break out long carries.
