Diggs has been a dependable WR1 in fantasy football, ranking top eight fantasy wide receivers each season from 2020-2022 and top 18 each year since 2017. Both his cumulative and rate statistics have been strong for wide receivers.
He joins a Texans team where both Nico Collins and Tank Dell had target rates of 26.0% and 23.1% respectively last season. They are two of the better young wide receivers in the league and are unlikely to see a significant decrease in snaps. The Texans also showed no problem rotating wide receivers a lot more than Diggs is used to in Buffalo. That happened even when one of the Texans' top-four wide receivers was injured last year, so it will certainly happen now that they are all healthy and they have Diggs.
Diggs has been a great wide receiver who has benefited from an elite quarterback in a pass-happy offense with limited competition for targets and exceptional health. With the Texans, he has much more competition for targets and an offensive playcaller who rotates his wide receivers more often and is more willing to run the ball. This has dropped Diggs to WR22, placing him after several great wide receivers in better situations. It would seem pretty disrespectful to put him any lower than that, but it’s fair to say some of the wide receivers a little lower than him have more upside.
