White led all running backs in offensive snaps at 860. White averaged less than 3.0 yards per carry in five games and only had one game above 4.3 yards per carry.

Over those first 15 weeks of 2024, White averaged 14.2 points per game, 18th, while Irving was at 13.3, 21st. Irving was doing much more as a rusher, but White was doing more as a receiver, and most importantly, White was scoring more touchdowns. White earned six receiving touchdowns when the Buccaneers were at least five yards away from scoring. That was tied for fourth-most by a running back in a season over the last decade, but it will likely regress.

The Buccaneers made some dramatic changes at running back for their final regular season game and their playoff game. Irving was the solo running back on early downs for 62 of 75 plays. The Buccaneers used two running backs on seven plays, Tucker on five and White on just one play. This was a dramatic drop in White’s early-down snaps. Similarly, Irving took all nine snaps in short-yardage and goalline situations. However, white’s playing time in third downs shot up to 95%, and he took all eight snaps on two-minute drills.
