Over his first three NFL seasons, Swift was a receiving back with home-run potential in the run game. Although he had fewer rushing attempts in 2022 than in 2020 and 2021, his yards per carry average was a career-best 5.5, thanks to some long runs.

Swift was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023 and became the starter after Kenneth Gainwell's injury. He was expected to have a career year as the lead running back behind the Eagles' offensive line. However, he stopped making as many big plays, and while his rushing numbers were up due to more attempts, his explosive impact was less noticeable.

For running backs, volume is king, and Swift has a clear path to significant volume, partly due to his big contract. If he stays healthy, he will likely finish in the RB21-RB24 range. He could perform better than that if the offense plays well and he scores a lot of touchdowns. However, there is also a chance that he doesn’t consistently see enough touches to remain in fantasy starting lineups.
