Bowers joined the Raiders and immediately became the league’s top fantasy tight end. He led all tight ends in receptions and receiving yards as a rookie, resulting in the most fantasy points.

Bowers led the league in uncatchable targets last season, which should change with Geno Smith. Part of the high uncatchable target total was simply part of having a high target total, but when accounting for the depth of the target, his rate of uncatchable targets was also high.

Raiders' new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly has four years of experience as an NFL head coach. In three of those years, the tight end who led the team in offensive snaps was different from the tight end who led the room in receiving yards. The Raiders have Michael Mayer, who could fit the role of leading the team in snaps. While Bowers should still lead the team in snaps, we should see a marginal shift in snaps relative to late last season.
