Will Rams CB E.J. Gaines re-gain his 2014 form?

The Rams drafted CB E.J. Gaines in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL draft and he played more snaps as a rookie than any other Rams cornerback that year.
Gaines’ 1.03 yards per coverage snap were tied for 14th lowest in the NFL in 2014, while his mark of 1.77 ranked fifth highest in 2016.
Gaines’ nine TDs given up in 2016 were the most in the league among cornerbacks as compared to 14th best with only one in 2014.
He was targeted 85 times in 2014 and gave up 100 less yards than in 2016 when he was targeted only 72 times.
