- Bobby Wagner was the best player on the field in the Seattle Seahawks Week 9 game versus the Washington Redskins. His 91.6 game grade was Sunday’s top performance for a linebacker and his fifth top-five performance of the season.
- Wagner was all over the field Sunday making plays against the run, in coverage, and as a pass-rusher. On 36 coverage snaps Wagner was targeted five times and only surrendered seven yards on three catches. While in coverage he notched a pass breakup and three stops. Only rushing the passer on three snaps, Wagner made the most of his opportunity getting pressure on two of them including a sack in the end zone for a safety. Defending the run, Wagner added an additional two stops brining his total for the game to five.
- Wagner has been the best linebacker this season by a decent margin. His696.6 overall grade is one of the top-graded seasons for a linebacker in the PFF era. Wagner is as complete of a player as they come ranking inside the top-10 in run-stop percentage (11.4 percent), pass-rush productivity (26.7), and yards allowed per cover snap (0.62).
