- Third-year Pittsburgh Steelers LT Alejandro Villanueva was present at Steelers OTAs this week despite there being no talk of a long-term deal between Villanueva and the team.
- No tackle played more than Villanueva last season, playing 1,276 snaps which was every offensive snap of the Steelers season including playoffs.
- After a rough rookie season in 2015 where Villanueva ranked 49th out 77 tackles with a PFF overall grade of 47.5, he bounced back last season with a PFF overall grade of 82.2, which ranked 24 out of 78 qualifying tackles.
- Villanueva ranked fourth in pass-block efficiency from Week 12 through the playoffs last year with a PBE of 96.9. Over that span, he only allowed 1 sack and 12 total pressures (PBE measures pressure allowed on a per-snap basis with weighting toward sacks).
Villanueva participates in PIT OTAs without long-term talks
