  • According to Jim Wyatt, Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray will sit out the preseason opener against the New York Jets Saturday night. Murray has been dealing with a hamstring injury during training camp and they will not risk his health this weekend.
  • Murray bounced back from a terrible 2015 season last year. His overall PFF grade of 78.9 ranked 18th among running backs, compared with an overall PFF grade of 44.1 in 2015, which ranked 64th among 66 runners that season.
  • His overall grades have severely dropped off since leaving the Dallas Cowboys. In 2014 — his final season with Dallas — Murray ranked as the third-best running back with an overall PFF grade of 91.0. His overall grades since leaving have been the lowest of his career.
  • In 2016, Murray forced the fourth-most missed tackles running the ball with 46. In fact, since 2013 Murray has forced 179 missed tackles, which is the second most by any player. Only Marshawn Lynch has forced more with 245.
