- The Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly signed cornerback Darrelle Revis.
- After grading out as one of the top cornerbacks in the league and winning a Super Bowl with the New England Patriots in 2014, Revis tailed off his next two years with the New York Jets. In 2016 he finished with just a 67.5 overall grade, which ranked 67th of 120 qualifying cornerbacks. Revis did put on a better effort in the second half of the season, where his game grades improved, and he allowed just 0.88 yards per cover snap.
- The Chiefs have struggled to find consistency with their cornerbacks across from Marcus Peters, who’s 80.9 overall grade ranks 27th overall. The Chiefs next cornerbacks with the highest snap totals, Phillip Gaines and Terrance Mitchell have 33.3 and 47.8 overall grades respectively, which rank 92nd and 118th out of 118 qualifying cornerbacks
- Revis, best known for his press-man coverage skills, joins one of the NFL’s heaviest man coverage teams in the Chiefs. Taking out red zone coverages, the Chiefs have played man-coverage (zero man, cover 1 & cover 2 man) on 57.6 percent of pass plays
