  • ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported via Twitter that the Pittsburgh Steelers fear defensive end Stephon Tuitt may have suffered a season ending torn bicep during their victory over the Cleveland Browns. An MRI is scheduled for Monday.
  • A second-round draft pick from Notre Dame in 2014, Tuitt signed a $60 million contract extension last Monday on the back of a season in which he posted a PFF overall grade of 83.2, the best of his career, and was effective against both the run and when rushing the passer.
  • He recorded 22 stops against the run, which equated to a run-stop percentage (the percentage of a players run defensive snaps where he was responsible for a stop) of 8.8 percent, which ranked sixth among 44 qualifying 3-4 defensive ends.
  • Tuitt also ranked sixth in total quarterback pressures recorded by 3-4 defensive ends with 46.
